There is now a global mental health disaster due to the COVID-19
epidemic. Reducing anxiety and uncertainty is essential since these feelings
can worsen stress and mental health problems. Accurate administration and
communication of information about the virus are key to this effort. Due to
their ease of use, social media and digital platforms provide many benefits,
including lots of chances for information sharing and education. By utilizing
these channels, important information may be disseminated rapidly and
extensively, mitigating the pandemic's negative effects on mental health.
People are more likely to resort to social media updates and news on their
smartphones, tablets, and other digital devices during health emergencies than
to traditional media sources. This change underlines how crucial digital media
is for controlling public information and mental well-being during such events.
